Artist, entrepreneur, and cultural promoter (Guatemala, 1982)
Estrada is a multidisciplinary artist. He began his artistic studies with photography in 2005 while living in Barcelona. He has participated in several group and solo exhibitions both locally and internationally, as well as in international art fairs such as Art Paris and Zona Maco. He is the co-founder of La Fototeca, a center for contemporary photography in Guatemala, and the GuatePhoto International Photography Festival. Estrada has also served as a judge in several photography competitions, including the GuatePhoto Festival, Photoville, Photolucida Critical Mass, and Houston FotoFest. He holds a bachelor's degree from Texas Christian University (USA), where he also played on the baseball team, and a master's degree in Finance from EADA (Spain).
En general, la obra aborda el tema del inconsciente y la eterna búsqueda del ser por encontrarse a sí mismo en las profundidades que se extienden a través del tiempo. El agua, símbolo del inconsciente, representa el flujo natural que nos guía y arrastra en la sombra a lo largo del ejercicio de la vida. Esta corriente nos impulsa a buscar reflejos, a encontrar un eco, a vislumbrar partes de nosotros mismos en la realidad. Sin embargo, al enfrentar esta búsqueda de manera consciente, a menudo solo percibimos nuestro propio reflejo superficial, dejando oculta la verdadera sombra que aún queda por descubrir.
