“We Still Have Desires”When I first arrived at the hotel and sat down at the restaurant table, the waiter asked me what I would like. I thought that while many hotel employees ask their guests this question every day, no one ever asks them what they themselves desire. So I asked them, through a message that was distributed to the entire staff. The 54 responses, plus mine, will be part of a video that also includes photographs of their hands at work. The project is being carried out in collaboration with Hugo Alvares Zanollo, who took the photographs and edited the video with me. MD, 2024.
