Born and raised in Los Angeles, Charlie Edmiston began his artistic journey as a graffiti artist, exploring a wide range of styles and mediums—from bold design graphics to colorful hard-edge paintings and large-scale murals. While studying at Otis College of Art and Design, he developed a distinctive abstract language rooted in geometric shapes and letterforms, which continues to inform his multimedia practice. Edmiston’s vibrant palette and dynamic compositions channel the energy of L.A. and the spirit of Southern California. His works, often celebrated for their emotional resonance and striking visual form, have earned him international recognition. One of his signature pieces, Los Muertos, is a mural installation inspired by the traditional colors of Día de los Muertos. Created for the white walls of Hotel El Ganzo, it not only brings vibrant color to the space but also serves as a tribute to the memory and celebration of those who have passed.
